My Story

I grew up in the Peak District, which gave me a lifelong love of the outdoors — so don’t be surprised if a bit of ‘walking, talking coaching’ finds its way into your sessions. I studied psychology at Reading, trained as a teacher in Brighton, and spent the next ten years as a fast-track teacher and school leader across the UK and Asia.

Along the way, I completed the National College for School Leadership’s Leadership Pathways programme, and gained diplomas in Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Personal, Social & Health Education (Roehampton University), and mentoring (University of Chichester).

The Early Days

While working in Asia — teaching in British schools in Japan and Singapore, and training teachers in Cambodia — I began a Master’s in Creative Thinking and started training as a Life Coach with an ICF-approved provider in Kuala Lumpur. I studied under mentor coaches in Australia, India and Malaysia, which gave me the international outlook I still bring to my work today. Eighteen months later, I returned to the UK with a first-class Master’s degree and a coaching qualification.

Since 2012, I’ve coached and trained individuals and teams — six years of it as a leader with the charity Teach First, working in some of the country’s most challenging schools. In 2020, I became self-employed, coaching and training people all over the world.

The Present Day

Today, I coach individuals in one-to-one sessions, face to face or online, and deliver training for organisations including Amazon, Holiday Extras and The Contented Child, as well as charities, start-ups and within the prison sector.

Years spent working across coaching psychology, education and leadership have given me a genuine understanding of the issues you may be facing — why you might react the way you do, or believe a better way forward isn’t available to you. Together, we’ll find the ways of responding and moving forward that actually fit you.

Personal Philosophy:

Coaching psychology helps you become more self-aware, better equipped for life’s challenges, and more able to live the life you actually want. My practice is trauma-informed and healing-centred, and draws on a range of modalities — psychological, coaching, cognitive-behavioural, existential, mindful and spiritual — woven seamlessly into whatever you need, whether that’s a coaching journey or a training programme. It’s always kept grounded, accessible and, crucially, human.

Sessions are collaborative, driven by you, and built around real aims. You’ll find the experience both enjoyable and genuinely life-changing — because it’s all about harnessing your will, growing your insight, and making the actions you want happen.

You already have the tools to build the life you want. My job is to help you learn how to use them.

A Note on Plant-Based Wellbeing:

I also draw on Britain’s long tradition of herbal and plant-based practice — simple teas, bath infusions, oils and compresses — as an optional, grounding complement to coaching work, for clients who’d like to explore it. It sits alongside, never in place of, medical care or your GP’s advice, and we’ll only ever use it if and how it’s genuinely useful to you.

You have the tools you need to gain the life you want; my job is to help you realise how to make the best use of them.

My mission is to help people strengthen their WILL, grow their INSIGHT and make ACTION happen - so they live the life they’re meant to
